Welcome to my site. I'm a UK based professional Bass player, Keyboard player and MD...
2009 has been really busy… It has seen continued live work with
Alex Cornish to promote his debut album Until The Traffic Stops (Bellevue Records) including a number of tours and some live radio sessions including Radio 1 and Radio Scotland.
Other exciting stuff which has happened with Alex, is the single My Word What a Mess spending 5 weeks on
the Radio 2 Play List and the track, Untied, being used during the BBC's Open Golf coverage.
I am also MD’ing for
PX Productions on
The Motowners,
Quantum and
Ultra 90s which has included a lot of recording and UK wide touring.
As well as that I have depped bass for Dirty Mojo playing with
Matt Eaves and the awesome
James Rawson.
I have been in rehearsals with
The Deadline Social a Lincoln based band who are looking to record their latest EP by the end of the year.
I have also been working at
Blue Water Studios Ollerton with
The Unknown Stuntman on their debut album, the follow up from their EP “walking home”.
I am lucky enough to be playing bass for the amazing
Melissa Totten simply the best Madonna tribute I’ve ever seen or heard.
My playing both keys and bass has been described as funky and soulful which means I find the groove and
lock it down.
I'm influenced by players such as James Jamerson, Victor Wooten, Miles Davis, Aston Barrett, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller and guys I’ve played with Mike James and Malcolm Parker. I love playing with drummers with great groove and space there is nothing better than finding the groove and just sitting on it.
Last year, saw the creation of the
PX Productions show
Ultra 90’s, tours with
Alex Cornish, tours on the holiday parks with Quantum, corporate gigs and events.
In the past I’ve played in Japan, Germany, Corfu, Spain and all of the UK. I’ve worked with
the rhythm junkies, Mike James, The cheese machine, Countdown, I’ve supported
The Prodigy,
Basement Jaxx,
Dizzy Rascal,
Orbital,
The Flaming Lips,
Super Grass,
Suzi Quatro, and
Bux Fizz to name but a few.
